I scored just shy of 5k 3dmarks on 3d mark 06 on a core 2 duo with 1 gig of ram. Overall Review: I am an ocassional gamer nothing hardcore. I could not justify spending on a vid card for a game here and there. This does exctally what I wanted it to do.
It's rather quiet. Manual states needs at least watts but I am running this great on a watt psu. I dont have a ton of componets in my computer, see specs below. Cons: Would have liked a GT but price is much more and would have had to purchase a new power supply to go along with it.
I will probably skip the 's series graphics cards and purchase the next series card in 1 year so I guess this isnt really a con :. Overall Review: Duo Core 2 E 2. Cons: The memory used in this card is not up to the base spec of which they have it clocked.
As such if you do not have memory heatsinks on this then you may have to underclock the memory in order to stable game play. This is the cause of the "snow" others have mentioned. Overall Review: I did underclock the memory due to graphical errors while playing everquest.
Once underclocked to its correct setting the card performed beautifully and has handled everything I could throw at it without hesitation including Bioshock.
Overall Review: Good card for the price. Cost less than my GT when I bought it a year and a half ago. Pros: Inexpensive, doesn't require additional power. Shader clock is tied to core clock so that's running a bit higher as well. Cons: A wider memory bus would have been nice, but what do you expect for the price. Overall Review: When I first installed the card, my system reported it as running at x4 instead of x16!
