To be saved eternally Your eternal destiny depends on it!!!! Kim Combs Dec. Sarah A Carter Aug. I listened to this as an audiobook. This is a short collection of essays from various professionals on a scattered array of life issues. Aug 11, KJP rated it liked it. I enjoyed most of this collection of wisdom- however, it is a rehashing of things Ive already learned and a large portion is dedicated to monetary gains which doesnt interest me at the moment.
Dec 25, Katricia rated it did not like it. Like, first off, it's a dick. It's okay, you can say it--you and about half of all people have one. We call the bits women have a vagina. They're not scary words, I promise. And, secondly--dunno, mate, but even in a strictly biological sense gender and sex are a bit more nuanced than that?
Which, honestly, sums up this entire book. Oversimplified assertions about reality of dubious veracity which I'm definitely not of the right generation or background to appreciate. Which isn't to say everything in the book is nonsense--the author rightly states that "enlightened" folk from most religious, philosophical, or other backgrounds tend arrive at similar conclusions regarding the fundamentals of leading a fulfilling life.
Maybe read one of those other guys instead. Maybe this is a little wishy-washy for me, but I'm determined to take advice from anywhere.
This is an interesting compilation of articles and even though it may feel like the authors are promoting themselves, it's good to have different perspectives together. I don't think the audiobook was the best format for me, because sometimes I didn't know where one article finished and another started. And it wasn't very engaging, so I got distracted easily. Feb 07, Shannon Enloe rated it really liked it. Pretty common knowledge information.
Nothing ground breaking but a few interesting research bits and always a good refresher course to hear some of the old tried and true methods to being liked and successful, both personally and professionally.
Amen to that. Somewhat decent insights into human nature that most of us ought to be able to figure out on our own; then again, maybe the book is intended for those who really need help in that regard.

This book is full of metaphysical voodoo magic and vague "advice" about how to be successful and "live the life you want. The author is clearly a drinker of the 80's Scientology-esque Kool Aid.
